I hope you meant MARK IV... MARK V wasn't out until Halo 1... Reach was IV, if you don't believe me read the book "The Fall Of Reach". Good book BTW. Anyways good job, even if you got the name wrong.

They are given Mark 5 on Reach during the book and watch the VGA trailer and you can see Mark 5 is the common spartan armor.
